Persona 3 Reload Players Will Have a Less Strict Time Maxing All Social Links Compared to the Original Game
Japanese outlet 4Gamer recently interviewed Persona 3 Reload general producer Kazuhisa Wada, director Takuya Yamaguchi, and producer Ryota Niitsuma. One of the questions and responses regards the familiar Social Link system’s implementation in this new release.
Persona 3 veterans can anticipate having a much easier time maxing all Social Links compared to the original release. Yamaguchi states that the difficulty in doing so will be roughly the same as in Persona 5.
The following exchange was translated by our team’s Ryuji:
Interviewer: […] It seems you can get all of the Social Links maxed on your first playthrough?
Yamaguchi: Maxing out all the Social Links in your first playthrough is not as strict as in the original version. The feeling is about the same as in Persona 5. I won’t say it’s easy, but it’s certainly more achievable if you go about it in the right way.

Persona 3 was initially a PlayStation 2 title that birthed the concept of Social Links that would follow in Persona 4 and Persona 5. Then, a director’s cut version named FES launched later, featuring a new playable epilogue called The Answer and added enhanced gameplay features.
Years later, Persona 3 Portable was released for the PSP, which removed The Answer and the ability to walk around town but added the option to play as a female protagonist and new post-game challenges.
Persona 3 Portable is now available on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox, and PC.
