Pearl Abyss Teases Upcoming Crimson Desert Gameplay Reveal at the Game Awards

Pearl Abyss have uploaded a brief teaser trailer for their upcoming title, Crimson Desert. The teaser trailer shows off an animation containing a relevant symbol for the game.

Additionally, Pearl Abyss has confirmed that a full trailer for the upcoming open-world action-adventure game will premiere at the Game Awards next week on December 10 at 3:30 pm PT.

Crimson Desert is an upcoming MMORPG and is developed by the same company behind Black Desert. The game takes place in a high fantasy world that suffers from war across the region by a divided continent. Adventuring out into the unknown will mean you’ll have to fight for survival against powerful monsters, so only heroes really venture out past the walls. Players can gather into groups by hiring mercenaries that will make fights easier.

At this time, not much is know about Crimson Desert or its characters. The developer has been staying quiet about the project, but you can expect it to be in the same wheelhouse as Black Desert. Images of the game show a grittier storyline, without many waifus, so this could be a more a different kind of game from the developer. Regardless, we’ll know more during the Game Awards.
