Pearl Abyss, the developer behind the popular MMORPG Black Desert, revealed the names of three new IPs they are currently developing, Plan 8, Crimson Desert and DokeV.
- Plan 8 is an exosuit MMO shooter led by Minh Le as a Technical Advisor, who is known as the co-creator of Counter-Strike. The game’s production is led by Seung-ki Lee, former Environment Art Director of Black Desert Online and Black Desert Mobile.
- DokeV is an MMORPG for all-ages led by Sang-young Kim, former Animation Director of Black Desert Online, and Suh Won Choi, former Game Design Director of Black Desert Online.
- Crimson Desert is a fantasy MMORPG where players must survive in a wartorn world made up of three tribes who fight to control the continent of Pywell. Crimson Desert has been produced since 2018 by Jason Jung, former Game Design Director of RYL Online.
Additionally, a Closed Beat Test will take place later in November for their fantasy arena fighting game Shadow Arena.
While we didn’t receive any more details about the upcoming games, Pearl Abyss promised to share more information at G-Star 2019. The event is held in Busan, South Korea on November 13 at 8 pm PST. Those who can’t attend can tune in to the live broadcast of the event, which will be featured on their Twitch and YouTube channels.
