Publisher Good Smile Company and developer Chime Corporation have unveiled the third trailer for their upcoming 3D action game PATLABOR the Case Files, showcasing additional gameplay.
Based on Mobile Police Patlabor, the game recreates scenes from the original series through multiple mission types. Main Missions place players in control of Special Vehicles Section 2, while Another Side Missions let players experience battles from the opposing side.
More than 20 Labors will appear in the game, including the Ingram, Griffon, and Type Zero. A separate Simulator Mode will also be included, featuring shooting drills and Labor-versus-Labor combat scenarios.
The story follows the rise of Labor-related crime after industrial-use robots became widespread throughout society. To combat these incidents, the Metropolitan Police Department forms the Special Vehicle Section 2 Patrol Labor Squadron, leading to the creation of the Patlabor units.
PATLABOR the Case Files will launch this Summer for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam.
The game will support English, Japanese, Korean, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese text options, as well as Japanese voice acting.
