Circle Entertainment announced that the Litchi Game developed horror adventure, Paper Dolls Original, will launch on Nintendo Switch on September 19.
The publisher released a new trailer showing gameplay from the Switch version to give players an idea of the environments and setting.
Paper Dolls was previously released on PlayStation 4 and Steam with VR requirements to play. However, Paper Dolls Original is a newer version of the game and is played without a VR headset. Which sounds like its for the best given that the reception for the VR version wasn’t too good.
Paper Dolls Original follows a man who has just woken up from a nightmare, one he’s been having over multiple nights. Every time he closes his eyes evil paper dolls appear and attack him. In his delusional state, he decides to take his daughter to safety to live at his ex-wife’s house. However, on their way there an accident finds him in a deserted mansion. Strangely, he recognizes this place as the one from his dreams. Following the cries of his daughter, the man pulls himself together into the mansion.
Gameplay in Paper Dolls Original features various traps and puzzle-solving as the player looks for the lost girls. The game has this occasional jump scares and eerie moments that horror fans will appreciate.
