Panzer Dragoon: Remake Soars and Blasts Its Way to Switch This Winter

During Nintendo’s E3 2019 presentation, the company revealed that Panzer Dragoon: Remake, a remake of Sega’s classic on-rails shooter, is coming to Nintendo Switch in Winter 2019.

Developed by Forever Entertainment’s Megapixel Studio, and published by Sega, this just-announced game is a remake of the first Panzer Dragoon, which was initially released for the Sega Saturn back in 1995. This remake came as a surprise for us at first, but then we remembered that, in December 2018, Sega had mentioned the possibility of a remake.

With Panzer Dragoon, it’s is set in a far, lone planet and it’s here that’ll you encounter two ancient dragons. With a deadly gun from way back when, along with a helpful, armored blue dragon, players will need to fulfill their destiny by keeping the Prototype Dragon from flying its way to the Tower.

Instead of changing things up, the developer vows to keep the remake as true to the original as possible — they simply just want to include improved graphics and better controls so it feels better for a new generation of gamers.

The most recent entry in the series is 2002’s Panzer Dragoon Orta for the original Xbox. With this game, you can currently play it thanks to Xbox One’s backwards compatibility.
