Pac-Man World Re-Pac Now Verified for Steam Deck

Bandai Namco has announced that the NOW PRODUCTION-developed 3D platformer, Pac-Man World Re-Pac, has finally been verified for the Steam Deck.

This means that alongside simply being functional, the title will immediately work when launched on the device, is optimized, and requires no additional steps or configuration.

The announcement also stated that the game is 50% off on Steam for a limited time, but that doesn’t seem to be the case yet.

In Pac-Man World Re-PacPac-Man’s family is shown to be kidnapped while the protagonist is away, leading to him quickly ending up on a quest to save them. This is a classic and beloved 3D platforming adventure where the iconic Pac-Man courageously entered a new genre so many years ago. Players will explore various locales to save Pac-Man’s family. Several moves, such as the butt-bounce and the rev-roll, are also available, highly prioritizing momentum.

Hopefully, Pac-Man World 2 is given the same treatment, as that’s the cream of the crop for the trilogy. As for the third? Well, it’d be interesting to see that modernized but I kind of doubt that will happen.
