Oxenfree II: Lost Signals Receives Eerie Announcement Trailer for PS4, PS5; Sadly No Release Date

The official PlayStation Youtube channel recently shared a spotlight of 7 upcoming indies for their consoles. One of these titles was Oxenfree II: Lost Signals, which received a rather brief announcement trailer demonstrating its eerie atmosphere and vaguely worrisome state of affairs.

This title is the sequel to Oxenfree by developer and publisher Night School Studio. It was a supernatural thriller that had players control Alex, who brought their new stepbrother Jonas to a party that unfortunately ended up lacking merriment. Instead, a ghostly rift opens thanks to the actions of the main character and his friends, which results in sinister actions taking place.

The first game was a critical success, earning heaps of praise and positive reviews, thereby giving this upcoming sequel quite the mantle to bear whenever it decides to release. There is no currently provided release date or even release window aside from 2021. If I were to hazard an uneducated guess, an October release window seems likely given the title’s tone, but that’s just me spitballing off the top of my head.

Either way, we are eagerly awaiting what supernatural narrative Night School Studio has developed this time.
