Night School Studio has teased something coming tomorrow, July 12, 2024, via a post on X (formerly Twitter). The developers behind Oxenfree, After Party, and Oxenfree II: Lost Signals simply posted the words “Missed Connection. Tomorrow. 7/12.” In the same post is a video that includes what appears to be a radio tower along with narrated dialogue. The voice reads as follows:
“You had brown eyes, I had blue. We wished we could switch, and I still do. My eyes are waiting, but they don’t see you. -T.”
Oxenfree II: Lost Signals is the sequel to Oxenfree by the developer Night School Studio and is set five years later. It stars protagonist Riley Poverly, an environmental researcher investigating unnatural radio frequency signals in her hometown of Camena. However, this leads to her discovering ghostly occurrences on the nearby Edwards Island, entrapping her in a frightening mystery. Players will utilize a naturalistic dialogue system to get to the heart of the matter.
The narrative title was released on July 12, 2023, for mobile, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC. The mobile versions of the title are accessible through a Netflix subscription. Night School Studio was acquired by Netflix in September of 2021.
