OVERKILL’s The Walking Dead Starts its Closed Beta
Starbreeze, Skybound Entertainment and 505 Games started its closed PC beta for Overkill’s The Walking Dead and it will run from October 9th to the 19th.
The beta will showcase two mission from the full game with more missions rolling out as the game reaches in official launch on November 6th on PC.
Those that have pre-order Overkill’s The Walking Dead have access to the closed beta on Steam. Owners of the $79.99 deluxe edition pre-order will have the “Night Raid” skin pack, digital art book, soundtrack and three extra beta keys to share. The $59.99 standard edition only comes with a single beta key. Though all pre-orders will come with a bonus Overkill skin pack.
Overkill’s The Walking Dead is a four-player co-op game. Like Overkill’s previous game, PayDay 2, it requires players to work together to complete missions and objectives. The main difference with The Walking Dead is the characters having their own unique abilities and skill trees as well as the need to keep up with supplies and ammo.
Overkill’s The Walking Dead is also coming to PS4 and Xbox One on February 6th, 2019 in the US and February 8th, 2019, for Europe and other territories. Pre-orders are available, though no beta plans for consoles.

Author’s Take: As a big fan of The Walking Dead TV show, I’ve been waiting for a blended multiplayer shooter with a large open world and decisions that affect the entire map with players being aware of it. But the closest thing I got is this game and Fallout 76.
