Outriders Looks Pretty Insane in Almost 30-Minutes of New Gameplay Footage

Square Enix released new gameplay for the People Can Fly-developed co-op shooter Outriders, coming to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and PC for a holiday 2020 release.

The gameplay is almost 30 minutes long and shows player new features such as the Pyromancer powers, enemies, and provide new information on the Outriders World Tier system.

“We are making the game we always wanted to play. The team at PCF are all gamers and we love shooters. Shooters are in our DNA and we have been making them for decades. At the same time, we also love RPG’s,” said Bartek Kmita, Creative Director of Outriders at People Can Fly. “We always wanted to play a deep RPG, with an epic story and the flexibility to create lots of interesting character builds, but we also wanted a skill-based, challenging, and intense real-time combat system in our RPG. When the opportunity to create it ourselves came along, it was like a dream come true.”

More gameplay will release as a new monthly show that will dive deeper into the game’s features and systems. The developer will focus on different aspects of the game to highlight gameplay, environments, character class deep dives, and updates.

Outriders is an RPG shooter set in a sci-fi universe. Players will need to create their own character known as “Outrider” to embark on a journey across a hostile planet. The story takes players through a diverse world where they’ll find themselves exploring slums, forest areas, and mountain ranges in pursuit of a mysterious signal. However, during their travels, they will meet intense combat situations and powerful enemies.
