Otome Visual Novel ‘Kimi wa Yukima ni Koinegau’ Now Titled ‘Winter’s Wish: Spirits of Edo’ in the West
Aksys Games has announced the official western name for Kimi wa Yukima ni Koinegau. The upcoming otome game will be called Winter’s Wish: Spirits of Edo. With its release window set on 2023, pre-orders for the game’s physical versions are available on the publisher’s online store.
Winter’s Wish: Spirits of Edo tells the story of a young woman who was expelled from her village because she had the power to predict with certainty when a catastrophic event was coming. While the populace feared her, a group called Oniwaban seeks her powers to protect Edo from the menace of monsters.
The game will be sold in two editions. While the basic one is priced $49.99, a special physical edition with a limited exclusive soundtrack CD is currently being sold for $59.99. Their other upcoming games Lover Pretend and Paradigm Paradox are also offered in this special edition. These other games will be released on Fall 2022, though a more specific date is still to be announced.
For people who had already pre-ordered the common edition, it’ll also be possible to order the soundtracks individually for $9.99, so there’s no need to cancel current pre-orders. Aksys mentions instructions will be sent via email.
For players wishing to go back to Burlone with Piofiore: Episodio 1926, there’s the previously announced limited edition. It costs $79,99 and includes a full color artbook, an enamel pin with a Lily design, seven vinyl stickers with chibi artwork of the main characters, and a cloth poster. As with the other two games, it’s also planned for a Fall 2022 release.
