Otome Visual Novel ‘Dairoku: Agents of Sakuratani’ Will Be Released on December

During the All Aksys presentation, western publisher Aksys Games has revealed a more specific release window for Dairoku: Agents of Sakuratani. Known in Japanese as Dairoku: Ayakashimori, the otome visual novel will be available for Switch in the west on December, 2021.

Dairoku tells the story of a young girl called Akitsu Shino, though her name can be changed if the player wants. When she passes a test to become a government agent, she ends up in a special division that deals with supernatural events. In fact, she has to move to another dimension and work in a town called Sakuratani.

There she’ll meet otherworldly individuals and monitor the interdimensional relationships. She’ll also be able to get to know some of those spirits and yokai more closely. Those include the oni Akuroou (CV: Suzuki Tatsuhisa), the tengu Hira (CV: Kobayashi Yuusuke), the fox spirit Shiratsuki (CV: Sakurai Takahiro), the snake spirit Shuu (CV: Oosaka Ryouta) and even her senpai (CV: Toyonaga Toshiyuki).

Characters are designed by Suoh, who also worked on Bad Apple Wars. The story is by Mizzochi Hatoko and it’s directed by Yukisawa Riku. The opening theme, Oyozuregoto, is sung by Toyonaga Toshiyuki.

We’ll keep you updated on any news from Dairoku: Agents of Sakuratani as well as other upcoming games by Aksys.
