Doujin RPG ‘Otome the Exorcist’ Gets PC Release Date in the West

Kagura Games announced that they will release the huki damari-developed doujin RPG Otome the Exorcist in the west on PC-via Steam on August 21. Yes, that’s later this week.

Otome the Exorcist takes place in the city of Himori as it is struck by a supernatural event known as the Voracite Phenomenon, where large “nests” appear and swallow unsuspecting victims. These Voracites also happen to be immune to conventional weaponry, but that can be harmed by any who possess the power known as Animus. These users are known as Exorcists.

The main protagonist, Onimoto Otome, is a member of the Subjugation Squad, a group of Exorcists who have banded together to fight against the Voracite threat.

Otome the Exorcist features classic RPG systems where players make their way through a super nature setting. The battle system features turn-based encounters as players explore randomized dungeons. Additionally, there is a skill learning system.

Knowing the publisher’s previous catalog of titles, it’s possible the adult version of Otome the Exorcist will be available on other online storefronts. The adult version features h-scenes that follow the boss encounters, which usually involve monsters.

The publisher also released a trailer for the game, which gives players a preview of the characters and systems.
