Otome ‘Bustafellows’ Gets July Release Date on Switch and Steam

After a few months of teasing, publisher PQube Games has announced the release date for Bustafellows. The otome visual novel will be available in the West on Switch and PC -via Steam– on July 30. Besides the digital releases, both systems are also getting a collector’s edition through retailer Funstock.

Originally released in Japan for Switch and Mobile in 2019, Bustafellows tells the story of a journalist girl called Teuta. She’s a very determined and strong-willed girl who’s skilled at data gathering and has a tendency to help people in trouble. One day she witnesses the murder of a crooked lawyer.

However, she has the power to go back in time assuming the body of another. Using that special ability, she decides to save him. This is but the start of a journey in which she’ll meet a group of hot, dangerous dudes.

There are five romance options in the game: Limbo (CV: KENN), Shu (CV: Hosoya Yoshimasa), Helvetica (CV: Yoshino Hiroyuki), Mozu (CV: Fukuyama Jun), and Scarecrow (CV: Shirai Yuusuke). The player choices will lead to each of their routes and multiple endings. The story should take around 80h to complete and also feature unlockable side stories.

In Japan, a sequel called Bustafellows Season 2 is currently being produced by developer eXtend. It’s also interesting to note that the game takes place in the same universe as another otome game called Side Kicks!, with some characters showing up in the game.
