Tactics RPG ‘Onmyoji in the Otherworld: Sayaka’s Story’ Launches on PC in the West

Shiravune has launched the Debonosu Works-developed lewd tactical RPG, Onmyoji in the Otherworld: Sayaka’s Story, on PC-via Johren in the west. A Steam release is planned for September 22, 2021.

The game is an adult turn-based strategy game previously exclusive to Japan. However, Shiravune is now supporting the release with English and Chinese localizations.

During Onmyoji in the Otherworld: Sayaka’s Story, players assume the role of Onmyoji Sayaka, who must exorcise ghouls. To do this, she’ll supposedly have to fight ghosts by night through turn-based combat and then have intercourse with them by day to restore their magic power. The gameplay also includes shops and equipment that players can pick up from battles.

Set in a regional city in the present day, Sayaka Mimuro manages her family’s Shinto shrine on behalf of her absent parents. Along with her childhood friend Haru and a talking furball (rabbit?) god, she lives a peaceful life, but when an earthquake strikes, aggressive spirits suddenly appear, and her world is torn apart.

Sayaka receives divine tidings that the only one who can save the city is herself—she’s actually an Onmyoji with the power to vanquish spirits. However, to unlock her powers, she must first perform certain rituals with a man.

During battles, players summer the correct spirits to the field to take on the fight. There’s some level of strategy here as there are 15 different yokai to summon and 18 h-scenes to unlock throughout the game.
