ONI Zero X (Cross), the first completely new entry in the ONI Zero series in 26 years, has been announced by Takiya Iijima. The reveal occurred during the official Konami Tokyo Game Show 2025 program, with a 2027 release currently planned.
Scheduled for release in 2027, ONI Zero X marks an unexpected return of the series that has not seen a new entry in over two decades. Early details and specifics about the story, gameplay, and platforms remain under wraps.
For those unaware, Oni Zero: Fukkatsu was a PS1 RPG released by Pandora Box in 2001. Takiya Iijima, writer of the original game, appears to be involved in this new title.
Konami stated that additional information will be shared in the future.
