During Anime Expo 2019, Bandai Namco revealed that they will release One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC in 2020.
One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 follows the straw hat crew on a brand new adventure. The game features Musou elements where players will choose their favorite characters and travel through multiple environments to get to a certain goal. The game is based on stories from the popular manga series, but there are a few twists put on them. Characters in the game will also retain the signature attacks and special skills to use in battle as they take on the one versus one hundred styles of gameplay.
Sadly, the publisher couldn’t say much about the game, but they do plan to release it in 2020. The most recent Pirate Warriors 3 was developed by Omega Force and first released in 2015. The series received a pretty good reception from fans as it stayed true to the characters. However, it’s good to understand that these are Musou style games which always seems to be classified as repetitive.
Additionally, the developer released a teaser trailer showing Luffy in his special form about to launch a devastating attack.
More news about the game will release soon.
