The official Twitter account for the Omocat-developed psychological horror turn-based RPG, Omori, has announced that the game has sold over one million units worldwide, presumably across all platforms.
Congratulations to the developer for achieving this noteworthy and well-deserved milestone. This RPGmaker title resonated with countless fans thanks to its strong tackling of mental health strife.
Media which chooses to pursue that avenue take bold risks doing so, and it doesn’t always pay off. However, in the case of Omori, those at the helm knew precisely what they were doing for excellent portrayal.
Lastly, celebratory artwork depicting key members of the cast was shared to highlight the occasion, viewable below:
Omori is a Kickstarter title that reached several of its goals and has been praised by excited fans. The title is a surreal psychological horror RPGmaker game where players travel between two worlds that both conceal the same secrets. It is not for the faint of heart as it tackles heavy subject matter and produces disturbing imagery.
Omori is currently available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
