Official Sonic the Hedgehog Open-World Roblox Game Available; Sonic Speed Simulator
Developer Gamefam Studios has announced that they have partnered with Sega to bring an open-world Sonic the Hedgehog game to Roblox. Yes, you read that correctly. The title, called Sonic Speed Simulator, is still in its testing phase, and prospective players will have to pay to access the closed beta. However, the game will be entirely free once it publically launches.
A brief trailer for this ambitious and unexpected project was shared via Gamefam Studios’ Twitter, where fans can view Sonic running at swift speeds with imagery highly reminiscent of previous Sonic titles. In all honesty, it’s rather impressive, and it’s worth keeping an eye on, especially since it will be freely available.
You can buy a closed beta ticket for the game via its official Roblox page. No estimated release window for the full public release has been provided yet.

Sonic Frontiers is releasing for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC in Holiday 2022. A teaser site has launched. Further, the setting of the title was confirmed to be called Starfall Islands. Hopefully, gameplay footage of this is revealed soon because it’s been a while since its initial announcement.
