Oddworld Inhabitants released a new trailer for Oddworld: Soulstorm, a new Oddworld adventure will be coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on April 3. The game will be free for active PlayStation Plus subscribers until May 3, 2021.

In Oddworld: Soulstorm players take on the role of Abe once again as he fights against an evil corporation. The developers describe the game as a 2.90 platformer. The gameplay utilizes the DualSense which allows the player to feel Ape’s heartbeat when he’s in intense situations.

Players will need to help 1000 Mudokons. Abe can scavenge and loop materials that he can give to others or use to get past areas. Returning to the game, are skill-based levels that will test the player’s abilities to understand Abe’s skills.

Oddworld: Soulstorm picks up after the events of Abe’s Oddysee when Abe has defeated Mollusk the Glukkon, his former boss at RuptureFarms. He freed many of his colleagues and friends from the evil place along the way, but that isn’t the end of his journey.

In Oddworld: Soulstorm Abe, along with 300 newly emancipated Mudokons, must learn to survive, and food shortage is getting low as they look for a place to call home. However, this leads them to a new brew that brings environmentalism, capitalism, consumerism, and addiction.

One of the newest elements is an item management menu, where Abe can hold onto materials that can be used in the field. The levels also seem to have some destructible aspects to them.
