Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty Gets Switch Release Window in New Trailer

Microids announced that they will publish the Oddworld Inhabitants-developed action-adventure Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty on Nintendo Switch digitally and physically in October.

The publisher also released a new trailer showing the game running on Switch hardware. However, there’s a filter over the gameplay that gives it an old-timey look.

Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty initially released in 2014 and is a remake of the Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee. The game has been updated with new 2.5D visuals, and additional puzzles as players make their way through various environments. The layout of the level requires players to not only make it out alive, but also find ways to save their friends, which isn’t completely necessary, but it’s a nice thing to do. Throughout the game, Abe will acquire new skills that enable him to get through sections differently.

In Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty, players assume the role of a Modokon named Abe, who has become aware that his employer is taking advantage of his race. So, Abe decided to bust out and take as many of his friends with him. That’s not easy, though, since guards are stationed along with a variety of other elements that are just waiting to make sure he doesn’t complete his mission.

Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty is available now on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, Xbox One, Wii U, PC, and iOS and Android devices.
