Oddworld: Munch’s Oddysee Gets Nintendo Switch Release Date in New Trailer
Microids announced that they will release the Oddworld Inhabitants-developed action-adventure Oddworld: Munch’s Oddysee on Nintendo Switch via the Switch eShop on May 14.
Oddworld: Munch’s Oddysee is an action-adventure where players play as a Gabbit named Munch, who has just broken his leg in a crab trap. If that wasn’t enough he was abducted by scientists, had an alien device implanted into his skull, and found out his race is being hunted to extinction.
Players will guide Munch through various levels to rescue his friends and other creatures that are being tested on. The creatures will then become loyal to Munch and help him through some of the environments. However, the game also allows players to play as the protagonist of the series, Abe. Together the two can get through any obstacles that come their way and deliver payback to the Vykkers.
To celebrate the announcement, the publisher has released a new trailer showing the game running on Switch hardware. This at least gives players a preview of the game’s visuals and characters. If you haven’t played this game, it is definitely one to check out.
Oddworld: Munch’s Oddysee is available on Xbox, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, iOS, Android, and PC.
