Grimm RPG ‘Oddventure’ Funded Through Kickstarter and Coming to Switch and PC in 2022

Pineapple Works announced that the Infamous Rabbit-developed RPG adventure, Oddventure, has successfully concluded its Kickstarter campaign and raised 213% of its funding goal in 30 days.

Oddventure is currently in development for a Nintendo Switch and PC-via Steam release in Q3 2022. There is a demo available on Steam for anyone who wants to preview the adventure early and meet the colorful cast of characters.

This RPG is inspired by games like Earthbound and Undertale, where players meet Charlie, a teenage girl with anger issues and social awkwardness. She’s on a quest to look for her younger brother, Bonzo, and then find a way home after they’ve become lost in the fantasy Kingdom of Luxia. This world is taken from the Grimm Brothers’ fairy tales with a Nietzschean twist.

During gameplay, players will make choices that matter in unpredictable ways. Further, no one has to die in this adventure, but they can, in horrible ways. There’s a turn-based battle system with exploration elements to find secrets and interact with dozens of other characters.

We’ll keep you updated on the release of Oddventure.

For now, check out the available demo or watch the gameplay trailer below to get a preview of the characters, battle systems, and obstacles Charlie faces:
