Ocean’s Heart Announcement Trailer Shows a Lovingly Crafted Zelda Inspired Adventure

Publisher Nordcurrent and developer Max Mraz, known for creating the Zeldalike tribute to Bloodborne, Yarntown, released an announcement trailer today for their upcoming title, Ocean’s Heart. This newest game from the Nordcurrent team is scheduled for a 2021 release on Steam. The trailer shows brief snippets of combat, world exploration, item management, puzzles, and crafting.

You can watch the announcement trailer below:

Ocean’s Heart story revolves around a young woman named Tilia, who is trying to find her kidnapped father and best friend. They are unfortunately held captive by the ruthless pirate, Blackbeard. Tilia will explore a beautiful, natural world full of effervescent scenery such as marshes, forests, and streams, and find mysterious weapons, magic, and artifacts that will aid her on her quest. A variety of sidequests and secrets will be present as they will serve to expand Tilia’s inventory and overall arsenal. Finding upgrades, defeating bosses, and exploring dungeons and the world will be the central pillars of gameplay for this title.

According to Artūras Surgutanovas, the Head of Marketing for Nordcurrent, Ocean’s Heart pays homage to the era of 90s RPGs. Still, it will also act as an “advancement” of the genre by delivering more intricate storytelling and worldbuilding than the norm.

Additionally, Ocean’s Heart will be available in English, French, German, Spanish, Brazilian, Portuguese, and Simplified Chinese.
