Obsidian Shows Off New Gameplay from First-Person RPG Avowed

During Xbox Games Showcase, Microsoft Studios and Obsidian Entertainment revealed their newest game Avowed, releasing in 2024. The publisher has not confirmed all the release platforms, but we are assuming, for now, is PC and Xbox Series X. UPDATE: The official channel for Obsidian has confirmed the game will be exclusive to Xbox Series X and PC via Steam.

Avowed is a new first-person adventure game for the studio, which is known for its narrative RPG adventures. This game takes players back to a land of fantasy and magic where players utilize projectiles over sci-fi guns.

The publisher adds, “Explore the Living Lands, a mysterious island filled with adventure and danger. As an envoy of Aedyr, you are sent to investigate rumors of a spreading plague with a secret that threatens to destroy everything. Can you save the island and your soul from the forces threatening to tear them apart?”
