Obsidian Announces New Fantasy RPG Avowed for Xbox Series X

Obsidian Entertainment, creators of hit RPGs Fallout: New Vegas and Star Wars: Knight of the Old Republic II, have announced a brand new fantasy RPG, Avowed.

While we don’t know much about Avowed yet, we do know that it will be coming to Xbox Series X and Windows sometime in the future. Matt Booty, head of Xbox Games Studios, stated that the game is being built from the ground up for Xbox Series X and will take full advantage of its power.

Xbox Game Pass subscribers will also be happy to learn that the Avowed will be coming to Game Pass, presumably at launch.

Avowed will take place in the fantasy world of Eora. The cinematic announcement trailer didn’t give much of an indication on what the game would actually be about, but it did showcase an intense looking medieval world seemingly deep in some sort of war.

While we don’t know yet for sure, it appears that the game will be first person as the trailer ended with a first person shot of someone preparing to fight what looks to be a dragon.

We will be sure to keep you updated on Avowed as more information becomes available.
