Bloober Team announced that their cyberpunk thriller adventure >observer_ will launch on Nintendo Switch on February 7.
>observer_ tells sets up the scene of a detective thriller that takes places in the year 2084 in Krakow, Poland. As it stands, the world lies in ruins with corporations seizing power after the fall of governments. This makes it tough to hold onto secrets given that the ability to hack minds has been invented and makes interrogating a lot easier for the most part. However, following the case of the main protagonist Daniel Lazarski’s son’s disappearance, players will unravel a unique mystery as the Observer.
Gameplay in >observer_ has players hack into minds of criminals and their victims to solve the mystery. The landscapes are created through various imagery that the player will need to explore. Players also have choices that they’ll need to make in the game and some of them change the outcome of their situation.
>observer_ is available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Author’s take: This is a game that might do well on the Switch given its portable nature. It also might introduce the game to a whole new audience which is always good for a new IP like this.
