Publisher Skybound Games and developer Manavoid Entertainment have announced that their upcoming story-rich turn-based adventure game, Rainbow Billy: The Curse of the Leviathan, will be releasing next month for PC and consoles. This title is boasted to be family-friendly, wholesome, and accessible above all else.
Players follow protagonist Billy through the World of Imagination, a vibrant setting made up of several distinct islands, including a prehistoric dinosaur era, a frigid mountain, and the depths of a harbor. This coming-of-age narrative hones in on the strife of accepting change in all manners of life. Unfortunately, a leviathan causes unforeseen chaos in the World of Imagination, sapping all sense of delight and color from its denizens. Billy, wielding the power of empathy, a boat humorously named Friend-Ship, and a talking fishing rod called Rodrigo aims to restore the World to its proper state.
When encountering monsters, the processes consist of building trust with the enemy to reach a non-violent outcome. Additionally, there are many planned accessibility options such as dyslexia-friendly font, color-blindness options, and single joystick controls.
