Nobunaga’s Ambition: Awakening Details Province War Tactics & Castle Roles; New Screenshots

Koei Tecmo has shared new gameplay details for the upcoming Kou Shibusawa-developed historical strategy RPG Nobunaga’s Ambition: Awakening, detailing the premise and various mechanics.

Province War Tactics have been introduced, with players able to choose between several scenarios suggested by their regent. In particular, the following methods will be available:

• Joint offensives – with all troops marching towards the same target as the daimyō province
• Ranging attacks – where provinces attack multiple castles of the same enemy clan all at once
• Bolster – where troops in the rear send soldiers to the allied units in the frontline
• Feint – where troops march near enemy borders, luring them out of their castles to create opportunities for an allied units’ attacks

Moreover, castles can now be assigned roles, such as prioritizing defensive measures, emphasizing assistance by summoning more soldiers for protection, and a resupply-themed base that does the self-explanatory for lengthy marches and trips.
