Hello Games revealed a free update headed to their open universe adventure No Man’s Sky.

Titled Beyond, owners of No Man’s Sky can now experience the game in ways that they never have before when it releases on August 14 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. First off, players will notice a new social multiplayer experience called No Man’s Sky Online, which empowers the player to meet others and play together. Additionally, this update also includes No Man’s Sky Virtual Reality to all supporting platforms where players will be able to play the game through a VR experience.

No Man’s Sky Beyond is the seventh free major update that has been released to players to better enjoy the game’s offerings. With the last update being Next from last year.

No Man’s Sky allows players to explore a limitless galaxy where unique planets and lifeforms exist to be explored. Through new updates and modes, players can now explore the game with a friend and learn to survive in this universe together by collecting materials and customizing their ships to go further than ever. While the game had a rocky launch, it seems to have found its footing through these free update.
