No Man’s Sky Receives First Content Update Since the Last Big Content Update

505 Games announced that the Hello Games developed solo space adventure turned multiple-player space adventure No Man’s Sky has received a new content update available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC-via Steam.

Titles “The Abyss”, this update adds more to the game to build upon what the team released earlier this year with No Man’s Sky NEXT, which added much to the game including graphical and gameplay improvements. The Abyss will introduce a new aquatic story mission, The Dreams of the Deep, which allows players to explore the fate of crew who has sunk to the bottom of the sea.

Additionally, players can explore underwater with a new submarine Exocraft, the Nautilon. This ship can be upgraded and customized to fit the player’s preferences. The update also adds new base components for underwater construction which allows players to explore deeper than ever before.

There are also some new underwater biomes that the update will be improved and players will be able to scope out new underwater creatures.

Author’s take: I was one of those who purchased No Man’s Sky at launch. Although I didn’t get what I wanted out of the game, I respected the small team and I’m glad to see that they are still creating a game that they believe in.
