Tokyo Necro is a futuristic visual novel in a setting where the living dead exist thanks to Necromancers. The story follows two protagonists, Kibanohara Ethica (voice: Aji Sanma) and Nagaoka So’un (voice: Muro Genki). Both use martial arts to defeat the undead creatures that terrorize Tokyo’s populace as a private group called the Karasuzumi Living Dead Stalker Office.
Their strength is widely recognized, and they have made quite a career in defeating the necromancers terrorizing Tokyo. One day, So’un and Ethica find a mysterious young girl called Hogyo Iria (voice: Yuzuhara Miu) during a hunt. Though she looks like just an ordinary girl with eccentric fashion taste based on 20th-century otaku culture, it’s clear that she needs protection from the necromancers.
Tokyo Necro‘s original concept comes from Fukami Makoto, who did the Tsunemori, Kogami, and Makishima episodes of Psycho-Pass: Mandatory Happiness. He shared the scriptwriting with Shimomura Vio, whose works include You and Me and Her: A Love Story, Sumaga and Axanael. The main illustrator is Oosaki Shin’ya (Hanachirasu), with Makoto Ishiwata handling mechanical designs and mob characters by minoa and Yamada Uiro.
