NISA to Publish the Bullet-Hell Adventure ‘Yurukill: The Calumniation Games’ in the West on PS4, PS5, and Switch

NIS America announced they will publish the Izanagi Games-developed bullet-hell adventure Yurukill: The Calumniation Games on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch in Spring 2022.

Yurukill: The Calumniation Games follows Sengoku Shunju, who has been accused of arson and the murders of 21 people. Now, he’s forced to fight for his freed and prove that he is innocent. As one of six Prisoners, we will pair up with one of the five victims, referred to as Executioners, in the world known as Yurukill Land. This place is built for the entertainment of those watching, but real lives are at stake.

Yurukill: The Calumniation Games is an escape adventure game within the bullet-hell shoot ’em up genre. The game is based on the original story by Kakegurui: Compulsive Gambler author Homura Kawamoto.

In addition, the game features character designs from Hiro Kiyohara, known for his work on Valkyria Revolution, and a soundtrack from Yuko Komiyama, who worked on the Monster Hunter series. The shoot ’em up elements were developed by the veteran studio, G.Rev.
