NIS 30th Anniversary Livestream Next Week; New Game Announcements and Giveaways Confirmed

NIS America has announced a NIS 30th livestream to celebrate their Japanese mother company Nippon Ichi Software’s foundation in 1993. It’ll be possible to watch it live on the company’s official Twitch page on January 30, 2023 at 10 a.m. PT. New game announcements, merch and giveaways will be part of the stream.

The company started back in July 12, 1993 as Prism and later changed its name to Nippon Ichi Software in November 1994. Though the company’s well recognize by their Disgaea series, the games only came about ten years after they started with the original Disgaea released on PS2 in 2003.

While NIS America publishes games from multiple companies, such as the popular RPG developer Nihon Falcom, please keep in mind this event is meant to celebrate their mother company. As such, expecting a Kuro no Kiseki announcement or something like that would be quite pointless.

They clearly specify the event will have NIS game announcements. As Disgaea 7 releases on January 26, 2023 in Japan, this is a very likely candidate for announcement, as most fans would know. However, other announcements are a much more obscure possibility. It’d be possible to see something not even announced in Japan at this point.

Currently, NIS America already has a bunch of Nippon Ichi Software games announced, including:

We’ll be sure to keep you updated as NIS America announces the other games they have in store during the livestream.
