Nioh 2 Gets New Trailer for “Last Chance Trial” Demo Launching Tomorrow

Sony Interactive Entertainment shared a new trailer for the Team Ninja developed action title Nioh 2, coming to PlayStation 4 on March 13, 2020.

The trailer highlights a new demo available for the highly difficult action game titled Last Chance Trial. Available from February 28 through March 1, players will be able to return to the world of Nioh 2 for a short time in hopes of overcoming a few of it’s most challenging foes. The trailer highlights a new large boss enemy that players will be able to take on in the demo as well as a few new areas. Players who get through the demo will receive a Kamaitachi Helmet to use in the full game.

Nioh 2 will also launch with a Season Pass that will include three major DLC updates, each focusing on a different storyline that pre-dates the events of Nioh 2. This will also include new weapons, new combat abilities, and new characters. Players who purchase the Nioh 2 Special Edition, with the main game and Season Pass, will also receive a Steelbook case and “The Art of Nioh 2” booklet.

Nioh 2’s protagonist is a half-breed, part human, and Yokai, which gives him unbelievable power. Through his journey, players will travel across the Sengoku period of Japan as they find themselves deep inside the Dark Realm of the Yokai. The character controlled by the player is also a mute mercenary known for hunting powerful Yokai, but the dark realm seems to be always surrounding them.

During gameplay, players will be able to improve their weapons using the Yokai Shift that increases their stats during the Yokai form. Players can also get help from other players to aid them in combat by interacting with their spirits. This will allow an online player to stay with you until the end of the level, or until they are defeated.
