Nintendo has launched the Nintendo Switch Lite in stores in an effort to give players the ability to play how they want. While this removes the functionality of the Joy-con controllers, players can now take a more lightweight device around with them as well as choose from three different colors, yellow, grey and turquoise.
“The introduction of Nintendo Switch Lite gives people the choice of a Nintendo Switch system that best fits their needs and personal play style,” said Nick Chavez, Nintendo of America’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “With the simultaneous launch of The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening, today is a great day for newcomers and existing Nintendo Switch owners alike.”
Also launching today is The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening on Switch which is a reimagining of the classic Legend of Zelda titles. During the game, Link has washed up ashore on a mysterious island and in order to return home, he’ll need to complete an adventure. The game is presented in a brand new art style but will retain some of the core features of the original along with the inclusion of cross over characters with other Nintendo IP.
The Nintendo Switch Lite is available for $199.99 and The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening is available for $59.99.
