One-Button Action Roguelite ‘Ninja or Die: Shadow of the Sun’ Gets August Release Date in a Super Cool New Trailer; Limited Time Demo Available Now

Marvelous Europe announced that the Nao Games-developed action roguelite Ninja or Die: Shadow of the Sun will launch on PC via Steam on August 2, 2023.

Further, a free demo is available now to play until July 17, 2023. This is to align with BitSummit Let’s Go!! taking place in Japan from July 14 through July 16.

Ninja or Die: Shadow of the Sun has you play as a pickpocket turned immortal Ninja, and if you need more than that to get you interested in the game, I can’t help you. The game is set in Edo Japan, where crime is really taking off, so it’s up to you to stop it. Easy, enough.

The main hook of gameplay revolves around the one-button controls where players must move quickly through the stages to get to the objective. The game is developed by a solo dev who has fine-tuned the experience to provide unique gameplay mechanics to players. There seems to be a high degree of challenge, but the swift animations and gameplay do look really cool.

We’ll be sure to keep you updated on the development and release of Ninja or Die: Shadow of the Sun.

Currently, the only platform for release is PC.
