Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection Won’t Include Controversial Breast Jiggle, But Designs Remain Unchanged

Koei Tecmo has never been too subtle about their approach to highlighting the sex appeal of both their male and female characters. Ninjas in skin-tight clothing showing every muscle are something that Ninja Gaiden fans now expect from the series and that hasn’t changed when it comes to the demands of Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection.

The collection includes Ninja Gaiden SigmaNinja Gaiden Sigma 2, and Ninja Gaiden 3 Razor’s Edge. While fans are eager to replay these titles on modern hardware, one feature won’t be making a comeback in Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2. During gameplay, players were able to interact with the breasts of the female characters using the PS3 controller. It was controversial then, and probably more controversial now, but also received one of the best commercials we’ve ever seen.

After talking to producer Fumihiko Yasuda, we asked if the feature would be included, and he replied, “Breast motion is not included.” Not surprising, but he did add, “There are no changes to the character design [and] the costumes added in Sigma Plus and Sigma 2 Plus are included.”

One bonus for fans is that Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection will also include all of the DLC as explained by Yasuda-san, “It will include the costumes from the Plus versions. Also, bonus costumes such as the Sigma 2 bonus DLC of Joe Hayabusa’s costume, and the save data bonus for Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge of the “Nightmare Brought To Life” costume can be unlocked in the game.”

Ninja Gaiden Master Collection will release on on PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC on June 10, 2021.
