Today during Limited Run Games‘ E3 presentation, the publisher announced that a PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch physical release of Night In The Woods is coming out in Q4 2019.
Night In The Woods is a 2D story-focused adventure/exploration game developed by Infinite Fall, a studio founded by game designer Alec Holowka, and animator/illustrator Scott Benson. Players step into the shoes of college dropout Mae Borowski who returns home to the crumbling former mining town of Possum Springs seeking to resume her aimless former life and reconnect with the friends she left behind. But the saying, “home sweet home” doesn’t necessarily apply with this game, as the home Mae remembered from her past, has completely changed.
In the game, players run, jump and use astral projection to explore the town of Possum Springs and the surrounding environments. Players can choose to hang out with friends, gain abilities to go through new areas, and discover secrets along the way. There’s a big crazy world to explore, so players won’t run out of things to do and see.
