Square Enix has discounted NieR:Automata and NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139… by 60% on Steam, dropping the two action RPGs to $15.99 and $23.99, respectively.
The sale comes as fans continue waiting to see what is next for NieR. During the ninth-anniversary NieR broadcast in February 2026, Square Enix confirmed that the game had surpassed 10 million sales worldwide. The presentation also ended with the phrase “NieR to be continued…,” though no new game was announced.
For players looking to revisit the series in the meantime, NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139… serves as an upgraded version of the original NieR Replicant. The game follows a young man searching for a way to save his sister Yonah from the Black Scrawl and launched on PC in April 2021.
NieR: Automata takes place much later and follows androids 2B, 9S, and A2 during the conflict between YoRHa and machine lifeforms. Developed by PlatinumGames alongside Square Enix, the 2017 action RPG combines real-time combat with RPG mechanics, shoot-’em-up sequences, and multiple story routes.
The NieR:Automata 3C3C1D119440927 DLC is also 60% off, bringing its price down from $9.99 to $3.99. The add-on includes three colosseum challenges, extra quests, costumes based on NieR Replicant, equipment, cosmetic items, and additional music for the in-game jukebox.
NieR:Automata remains the most commercially successful entry in the series, while NieR Re[in]carnation ended service in April 2024. Square Enix has not announced another mainline NieR title.
