NieR Replicant Ice Trays with Emil’s Face Available for Pre-Order; August 2022 Shipment

Square Enix has revealed NieR Replicant-themed ice trays engraved with Emil’s iconic face available for pre-order via their Japanese digital storefront. The product costs ¥2,750 and is planned to ship on August 27, 2022.

NieR:Automata released in 2017 on PlayStation 4 and PC, with an Xbox One release in 2018. The game follows the stories of androids 2B and 9S, who are part of an elite military force called YoRHa. In a fusion between action, exploration, and shmup elements, the game is very popular for its storytelling and characters. Additionally, the game is a sequel to NieR Replicant/ NieR Gestalt.

NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139 is a remake of NieR Gestalt, which was released exclusively in Japan. The series is a spin-off of the Drakengard series but found fame after the release of NieR: Automata. Some say it was for the action systems, others say it was for the attractive characters. Regardless, it’s a rather pretty game.

During gameplay, players will join a rather untraditional party of characters as they each fight against enemies known as Shades. The gameplay also allows players the chance to take on side missions and even fish. Voiced lines have been added to the game, with the same cast of voice actors.
