NieR Re[in]carnation to Launch With NieR: Automata Crossover Event in the West; NieR-ception
Square Enix announced that the mobile action RPG NieR Re[in]carnation will launch with a special NieR: Automata crossover event when it releases in the west on iOS and Android devices on July 28, 2021.
The event will launch the same day as the game and will feature summonable characters 2B, 9S, and A2. Each character will lend their skills to the party and have equipment as well. There are additional events leading up to the game’s launch taking place over social media as well, please refer to the official Twitter and Facebook pages.
Currently, the game has over 500,000 registered users, but if it reaches over 600,000 pre-registered users, players could receive enough gems for 15 summons for free.
NieR Re[in]carnation introduces a girl who wakes up in a mysterious place. Guided only by a creature known as “Mama,” the girl sets out to get back what was lost and atone for her sins. Inside what is known as the Cage, she will find her answers.
During gameplay, players will battle monsters using a command screen. There’s equipment that can be found and customized across your party with an auto-mode option that attacks enemies. The game is aimed to be easy to play, even for those who are not good at games.
There will be in-app purchases, but we aren’t sure if this will be tied to story progression, party members, or equipment. Players can explore different environments on a 2D screen as the party journeys across the lands throughout the narrative.
We’ll be sure to cover more about NieR Re[in]carnation’s western release.
