NieR Producer Yosuke Saito Teases “Surprise” for Early 2024; Asks Fans to Wait a Little Longer for Big Announcement

The Japanese outlet 4Gamer recently compiled several notable comments made by developers commemorating the end of 2023 and the start of 2024. And one of those developers, NieR series producer Yosuke Saito, made a significant comment fans should keep in mind.

After mentioning that his keyword for 2024 is “Surprise,” he elaborated somewhat, elucidating that this occurrence is planned for early 2024. Various preparations are being made for whatever this surprise is, with no clear hint on what it pertains to.

He also asks fans to wait a little longer for a “big announcement” while reminding them about the upcoming second cour of the NieR:Automata anime adaptation.

You can view Saito’s comments below:

“I’m preparing various things to be able to carry out the ‘surprise’ mentioned in the keyword in early 2024. Also, if I don’t do something about my inability to say no whenever I’m asked anything, I may soon die, so I should probably start paying a little more attention to my health…”

“Please wait a little longer for a big announcement. Also, the second cour of the NieR: Automata anime should start at some point, so please look forward to it!”
