The official Square Enix Music YouTube Channel has posted a guitar cover of “Ashes of Dreams – Weight of the World” from NieR Replicant, NieR Gestalt, and NieR:Automata for the lattermost’s sixth anniversary.

Initially composed by MONACA and Keiichi Okabe, Takanori Goto arranged and performed this showing of the track. This performance was clipped from the official NieR:Automata sixth anniversary broadcast.

Guitar covers of “City Ruins,” “Pascal,” and “Song of the Ancients (Popola)” were also recently shared to celebrate the sixth anniversary of NieR:Automata.

NieR:Automata was initially released in 2017 on PlayStation 4 and PC, with an Xbox One release in 2018. The game follows characters named 2B and 9S, who are agents of Yorha, an organization tasked with various combative and information-gathering missions. This entry became highly popularized for its storytelling and characters in a fusion of action, exploration, and shmup elements.
