New Trails Mobile Game Launches Out of Nowhere in China; Trails in the Sky: Chapter of Shadows

A brand new Chinese Trails mobile game has surfaced seemingly out of nowhere and appears to be officially licensed by Falcom. Titled Trails in the Sky: Chapter of Shadows, this game primarily contains characters from the first saga of the series, though there is one who looks eerily similar to a certain character from Trails of Cold Steel IV. Regardless, there’s not much information available on this title. We couldn’t even find an official website.

Prominent Falcom community member, Hansuke, has been working on extracting the mobile game’s assets, which is where this article’s featured image originates from.

Some footage screenshots are viewable via our gallery below, depicting various beloved characters in this entirely new art style:

A render of Josette Capua was also obtained, viewable below:

Those intrigued and able to download the title can do so via its official Google Play Store page. Oddly enough, the developer’s website doesn’t seem to be active.
