New Tales from the Borderlands Announced for 2022; Info Arriving Summer

The official Twitter account for the Borderlands franchise has announced that Gearbox and 2K are at work with another entry in the Tales from the Borderlands sub-series. Not many details for this upcoming release were provided, aside from more info on it arriving this Summer and the game itself releasing sometime in 2022. No information on what platforms this title will be released on was stated either.

However, it’s relatively safe to assume that PC, previous generation, and current generation consoles are a safe bet. A Nintendo Switch version is probable, but likely a fair while after the other released versions. Those are just my assumptions, though.

Further, a teaser image for the project was revealed via the official announcement tweet, viewable below:

Tales from the Borderlands is a Telltale-developed story-centric title based on the popular Borderlands franchise. It is a choice-dependent adventure narrative where players control particular aspects of the story as it progresses. It also takes place between Borderlands 2 and Borderlands 3. Still, despite this collective adventure’s timeline placement, it can be understood by all players regardless of their familiarity with the Borderlands franchise at large.

Last year, each episode of Tales from the Borderlands was released for Nintendo Switch, with all DLC included.
