The official Pokemon Twitter account has announced that they will be hosting a brand new Pokemon Presents presentation on August 18, 2021, at 6 AM PDT/ 9 AM EST. This presentation is stated to primarily focus on Pokemon Brilliant Diamond, Pokemon Shining Pearl, and Pokemon Legends: Arceus.
Recently, during Nintendo’s reveal of the upcoming Nintendo Switch OLED model, new footage of Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl were sneakily thrown in with improved models and lighting. The product just generally looked more appealing than what was shown during the initial announcement trailer.
With this announcement of a new Pokemon Presents, fans will assuredly expect an extensive and exhaustive look at these games’ graphical upgrades and whether they are truly significant enough to alter some minds of their initial negative impressions.
Personally, the general art style direction for the generation 4 remakes simply doesn’t appeal to me at all, and I’m slightly more intrigued by Pokemon Legends: Arceus. However, I and many others do possess great skepticism over the quality of this game’s final release state because Legends: Arceus looked exceedingly rough in an arguably more concerning sense than Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. From severe frame rate drops to a relatively barren world, hopefully, this next look at the game paints it in a far more complete state, especially given its release around 5 months from now.
You can watch the Pokemon Presents on August 18, 2021, on the official Pokemon Youtube channel.
