New Pokémon Legends: Arceus Trailer Introduces Hisuian Zorua and Zoroark

Following the recent unconventional trailers for the upcoming Pokémon Legends: Arceus, a brand new trailer was released today, introducing the Hisuian regional variant forms of Zorua and Zoroark, with the former looking quite cute and the latter being somewhat threatening.

I’ll be honest, the models and movements are still too stiff and robotic for my liking, but I’m willing to overlook those faults if the actual game experience ends up being fulfilling and worthwhile. Just a few months away now.

You can view this new brief trailer for Pokémon Legends: Arceus below:

Between these reveals and the fresh new components of the battle system, some bold steps are being transparently taken here. While I wasn’t sold on this title during its initial reveal, this newly revealed footage is undoubtedly amping up the hype.

The sheer premise of a Pokémon title being set this far in the past is enticing enough, and I hope that the game’s execution embraces its contextual strengths well. Based on the trailer, that certainly seems to be the case, but we will merely have to wait and see how every game design aspect coalesces early next year.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus is releasing for Nintendo Switch on January 28, 2022.
