New PlayStation State of Play Occurring Next Week; Third Party Focus, 20-Minutes
PlayStation has announced that its next State of Play will be occurring next week on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at 2:00 PM PT /3:00 PM ET/10:00 PM BST. On the official blog post detailing this upcoming event, Senior Director of Sony Interactive Entertainment Communications, Sid Shuman, stated that the show will primarily focus on upcoming third-party titles for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
Additionally, the show is planned to be around 20-minutes long, with there also being updates on previously announced games.
Further, as a precautionary warning to any content creators covering this event, Sony advises muting all copyrighted music on any VODs used for highlights.

Personally, I know this has become tired rhetoric at this point, but I think it’s legitimately possible to see a sneak peek of Final Fantasy XVI or the next installment in the Final Fantasy VII Remake effort. There has been adverseness from Yoshida to show the former game before it’s borderline ready for release, but I think considering how long it’s been since the last trailer, a brief one couldn’t hurt.
